The invite above shows a really nice example of a good use of stock and colour scheme. It appears to be printed on a recycled stock and only using one colour for the type. Something that really stood out within this piece to me is the subtle illustration of a ring on the 'c' of lucy. You then instantly know that its in relation to an engagement.
The business card example above shows an appropriate use of colour for the business it is designed for, and again the small detail of the illustration of a bird on the 'n' works really well too.
