Canon stamps.

The presentation of this set of stamps highlights the quality of the product, as its celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Canon SLR. The front cover of the booklet is also embossed with the image of a camera in a repeat pattern, which is a technique I'm looking in to using for mine. Overall the presentation booklet works well and is of a quality finish.

Classic Album Covers Stamps.

Each stamp set from the royal mail comes in 5 different formats for you to buy. Including the Prestige presentation set which is the most expensive to buy but perfect for a collector. Which means that this booklet is of a higher quality and more collectible, as this is something I want to include within my stamp set. Others just simply display the stamps on a card rather than in a booklet, or you can buy them just as a sheet of stamps. I need to consider this when designing my stamps as it needs to work across a range of formats.

Penguin Classic Books Collection.

The simple use of imagery works really well for these book covers and links them altogether as a series. There's also a really nice attention to detail and a sense of a quality product, which is something that I want to consider within my book covers. As I'm looking in to the different print processes such as heat foiling, screen print and blind embossing.
The images used also work really well as a repeat pattern across all of the books. Also the consideration of colour creates a bold impact on the covers and the simple use of just black and white works really well for the Dorian Gray cover, which also relates well to the theme of the book.

More from logopond...

The logo above has a clever use of imagery where the scissors making up a face and a mustache.. Links well to the business it has been designed for.

Nice play on imagery here and perfect for a golf theme.

This logo is a great example of how negative space can be used effectively!!!

logopond

This logos quite quirky and I like the use of the negative space with the letter 'n' by Chad Sanderson.

I picked out this one and the one below because of the layering of the images, as I'm thinking of applying this kind of technique to my green gigs logos.
